So who thought of adding alcohol to tea? Apparently everyone.
Indonique lists here a few of our favorites.

Grog

Several European nations claim to have invented Grog. Our favorite story involves the British version. Accordingly, in 1742 British Admiral Edward Vernon avoided near mutiny after cutting his sailors rum ration from one cup to a quarter cup, when his sailors discovered the watered down concoction actually tasted pretty good when the water was hot and steeped in tea. They named it after the Admiral nick named Old Grog because of his penchant for water resistant grogram cloth.

Indonique's Grog blend is as close as we can figure Old Grog's recipe. We blend several spices with a whole leaf black tea selected specifically for this Grog blend. Steep and add your own rum and brown sugar. We guarantee you'll re-enlist!

Mint Julep

This southern favorite is warmly served in Big Easy courtyards and sunny porches throughout the south. We make it simple with our blend of fresh spearmint leaf, peppermint leaf and whole leaf black tea. Just steep, add sugar and refrigerate. When it's cool, pour over a glass of ice, add a shot of your favorite bourbon and garnish with mint leaf. Best served with friends and Jazz music. It's how George got Daya to marry him!

Masala Chai

Take one owner, George, and three college-aged student employees, shake and leave alone at the Indonique Tea & Chai Cafe while a Mardi Gras parade passes by and you get a traditional Indian masala Chai that's illegal in most of alcohol free India and, apparently none of the pretty college students paying for anything. Profits were down for the day, but what a combination they made. See what got George and his employees in so much trouble with co-owner Daya.

Just make specially blended authentic Indian masala chai or chocolate chai as per instructions on the box and add your favorite liqueur. Cheap plastic beads and underwear on head not included.
